Thank you so much to author Nan Reinhardt @nanreinhardt and Tule Publishing @tulepublishing for the eARC of Nan’s new book, Meet Me in River’s Edge, publishing August 17th. This is book two in the Weaver Sisters series, but can easily be read as a standalone. (Read more about the Weaver Sisters on Nan’s website.)
Jo Weaver is a boat mechanic at her family’s marina business in River’s Edge and content with her life in small hometown along the Ohio River. (If you’d like to see a map of River’s Edge, you can find one here, on Nan’s website, and it is absolutely darling.)
She’s excited to celebrate her high school class reunion and is irritated when she’s pulled away to help a fancy yacht that’s stuck in the river. The owner of the yacht is wealthy Alex Briggs whose family owns the Briggs Hotels empire. Jo assumes he is a privileged river rat and wants to stay clear, but can’t seem to ignore the chemistry between her and Alex.
This is such a delightful closed-door, will they or won’t they romance. I love the details of the small town (based on the beautiful Madison, IN) and all the main and side characters. I especially loved learning about Alex’s important medical research (no spoilers here!). Coming in at a little over 200 pages, this is a quick read with so much heart. I was sorry when it ended.
