My Review:
Purrfectly Framed (A Mobile Cat Groomer Mystery) by Ruth J. Hartman is the second in her Mobile Cat Groomer Mystery series, but easily can be read as a standalone. At 284 pages, this is a quick read full of quirky characters and the twists and turns of a strong cozy mystery.
I loved that Ruth did not waste any time jumping into the murder–this is a fast paced story from beginning to end! It’s interesting, too, that the victim was such an unlikable character when alive – there were a lot of suspects to sort through. I enjoyed the banter among the characters and especially loved the feline characters. The cat hijinks had me chuckling and reminded me of the cats in the Magical Cat Mystery series by Sofie Kelly. Lots of fun! Readers who enjoy cats as sidekicks will enjoy this cozy mystery series!
About the Author:

Ruth J. Hartman spends her days herding cats and her nights spinning mysterious tales. She, her husband, and their cats love to spend time curled up in their recliners watching old Cary Grant movies. Well, the cats sit in the people’s recliners. Not that the cats couldn’t get their own furniture. They just choose to shed on someone else’s.
Ruth, a left-handed, cat-herding, farmhouse-dwelling writer uses her sense of humor as she writes tales of lovable, klutzy women who seem to find trouble without even trying.
Ruth’s husband and best friend, Garry, reads her manuscripts, rolls his eyes at her weird story ideas, and loves her despite her insistence all of her books have at least one cat in them.
