My Review:
I absolutely loved every page of this cozy paranormal mystery. It was just what I needed when everything felt like so much. I adored escaping into the delightful town of Havenwood. Every once and awhile I’d pop my head out of my book, take a look at all the headlines and germs and adulting things like so much laundry that were around me, and I’d take a hard pass and go right back into this story.
In addition to the wonderful, magical setting of Havenwood, Harper is a terrific character to root for. And I loved the characters that filled her life and the small town – I’m especially a big fan of Luna, the talking rabbit. I wish I had a Luna in my life. The details that are part of the story of the town and the magical and non-magical characters are so well developed and creative.
The mystery of the missing books is well plotted and I didn’t guess ahead of time as to the true culprit. I also enjoyed that there’s a bit of a love interest developing for Harper and I’m so here for it. There are six more titles to read in this series and I know I’ll be diving in and not looking up from my kindle.
This is such a clever, charming book – perfect for those looking for a respite from the craziness of the real world!
