My Review:

What a fun and fast-paced entry to a long-running and clever mystery series! Readers new to the series can certainly pick this one up as a standalone and be happy to know there are hours of backlist reading waiting.

I enjoy Kiki as our main sleuth, and her crafty skills certainly transition perfectly to asking questions and digging into secrets and family drama. I was drawn right into the story and happily sped through. As a Missourian myself, I enjoyed the setting of St Louis.

There are many twists throughout that kept me guessing until the very end, and I didn’t guess anything ahead of time! Lots of fun!
