🍎Monthly Highlights: September 2025

I’m happy to highlight the events of September 2025 – bookish and nonbookish! It’s a snapshot in time.

September 2025 was a hot month weather-wise, and I’m so wishing for some fall-like temperatures. I want to get out cardigans and the crockpot.

I’ve been getting up early on weekday mornings so I can get in about 35 minutes on the treadmill. I finished watching Virgin River (which was my first treadmill show–loved it!) and started Sullivan’s Crossing. I did also watch Unknown Number: The High School Catfish and omg, that was shocking and disturbing. I also watched the first Episode of Dancing with the Stars, which I haven’t watched in years. It was fun – not sure I’ll pick up the rest, but I enjoyed what I saw.

My daughter got a part in the high school play so we’ve been busy driving her back and forth for rehearsals. Looking forward to seeing it in early October. My son started attending a Creative Writing Club after school and loves it. We had a successful garage sale towards the end of the month, and I’m so happy we got rid of so much stuff.

I’m looking forward to putting up our Halloween decorations next month, getting our pumpkins, and making cut out sugar cookies.

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
