I’m happy to highlight the events of November 2025 – bookish and nonbookish! It’s a snapshot in time.Â
In a year that has felt long, November flew by!
Bookish:
We made a trip to Main Street Books in St. Charles, and I was introduced to the Immortals After Dark paranormal romance series by Kresley Cole and am now obsessed. I read the first three books in the series this month.
Life:
Regular life – driving kids places, raking leaves, planning and prepping for Thanksgiving. I listened to two fascinating podcasts – one a standalone and one a series:
The Bowery Boys podcast: “The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree: A History in Lights”
“Where the Schools Went”, a five-part series that explores the radical restructuring of the city’s schools into a system of autonomous charter schools.
After Thanksgiving, we have two weeks and four and a half days (but who is counting?!) before Winter Break. I cannot wait for an extended time to be cozy at home.
On the blog:
I read lots of wonderful books for review this month. My two favorites were Without a Shadow of Doubt (Olivia Penn Mysteries, Book Five) by Kathleen Bailey and Crescent City Christmas Chaos (Vintage Cookbook Mystery, Book Four) by Ellen Byron.
