🎄Monthly Highlights (December 2025)

I’m happy to highlight the events of December 2025 – bookish and nonbookish! It’s a snapshot in time.

In a year that felt long, December flew by – too fast for me who needed to prepare for a December birthday and Christmas! As I write this, it’s nice to be reminded that it all does come together, even though I felt panicked and behind most of the month.

This month we had our first snow day of the year, as well as the school winter concert. I enjoyed our holiday book club and all the theme days at the elementary school where I work. PJs at work was a new experience for me.

My high schooler had her first experience with semester finals and we are all glad for a well-deserved break. We saw lights one evening of break and of course watched A Christmas Story.

I’m an early to bed person for New Year’s Eve so hoping everyone has a safe and happy evening!

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
