Week in Review:

It was a quiet, enjoyable week. I got to see two friends (one for breakfast and one for lunch), and my family and I went to Half Priced Books to sell some books and pick some new items. Everyone found something. All the Christmas decorations are down, and we’ve gotten in several walks outside despite the chill. Reality starts next week as we all head back to school and work.

Something I’m Looking Forward To:

I’m looking forward to going back to school tomorrow. While I love breaks and the quiet that was our winter break, I do love structure and routine. I also enjoy working in a school library and seeing all the students. We have some BIG readers, so I can’t wait to hear what they read over break.

I’m also looking forward to sharing my top ten books for 2025 on Tuesday and some 2025 reading highlights on Friday. Both posts were fun to write!

And I’m looking forward to attending my first knitting class. I have always wanted to learn and was excited to find a class offered. It starts next Sunday the 11th.

  1. You have a lot to look forward to. I remember the happiness I had when I would return to the school library after a break and hear about all the books the kids had been reading. Enjoy!

I added The Little Spark to my list.

  2. Enjoy the knitting classes! I’m thinking of taking sewing lessons this year. I can barely sew a hem and want to be a more confident sewer.

Wishing you a happy reading week

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
