☕The Sunday Salon: March 1, 2026 ☘️

Happy Sunday! Thanks to Deb Nance at Readerbuzz for hosting The Sunday Salon.

Favorite Read of the Week

The Selected Letters of Laura Ingalls Wilder by Laura Ingalls Wilder,

William Anderson (Editor)

A fascinating glimpse into the life of Wilder, her beliefs and her writing process. The collaborative nature between her daughter Rose and Laura herself shaped that famous series.

What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:

Reading: Kate & Frida by Kim Fay

Listening: Back to School Murder (Lucy Stone #4) by Leslie Meier

Week in Review:

Five days in a row at school – wow! Typical week with the usual after school activities and we snuck in haircuts. My kids had lots of social engagements this week and weekend so we were out driving everyone where they needed to be. We got a lovely walk in on Saturday after lunch before it started raining and Saturday night attended a Rock & Roll Bingo with friends.

And this note from a student at school made my whole week:

Something I’m Looking Forward To:

Read Across America week starts Monday and our librarian has such cute things planned. I can’t wait to see the kids get into the activities. We’ve got a choir concert to attend this week in the evening and I’m helping with an event at the middle school Friday morning. Our treadmill was fixed this week so I’m looking forward to getting back to walking before work.

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
