Monthly Library Spotlight (March 2026 Edition)

As most booklovers can understand, I am obsessed with the public library. Even though I’m not working in a public library anymore, I still adore them, and am so thankful that St. Louis has such great access to so many wonderful libraries. At this time of my life, I am mostly using the St. Louis County Library system, as there are branches so close to my house.

I thought it would be fun to do a monthly feature where I spotlight items I have checked out, items I have on hold, resources I’m using or have discovered – basically any library fun!

This month I’m shining a spotlight on the BookPage magazine, provided by my library.

BookPage highlights the best new books across all genres, as chosen by their editors. Every book we cover is one that we are excited to recommend to readers.

I am so excited when I see a new edition available to pick up for free at my library. I usually find a time that very day to read the magazine front to back with a highlighter in hand – so I can mark all the books I want to read.

Even if you don’t have access to the print version, the website is an excellent resource.

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
