☕The Sunday Salon: March 22, 2026 🌷

Happy Sunday! Thanks to Deb Nance at Readerbuzz for hosting The Sunday Salon.

A Ghastly Catastrophe (Veronica Speedwell #10) by Deanna Raybourn

(I do love this series, especially as audiobooks. Veronica is smart and funny and her banter with Stoker is just perfection. I enjoyed the mixture of science and superstition in this latest entry.)

What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:

Reading: Booking for Trouble (Library Lover’s Mystery #16) by Jenn McKinlay

Listening: I’m Not the Only Murderer in My Retirement Home by Fergus Craig

Week in Review:

We certainly saw all the seasons this past week over our Spring Break! Frigid temperatures with flurries Monday, all the way to almost 90 degrees on Saturday. We had a relaxing week and I’m very thankful. I think everyone needed down time, combined with walks, reading and games.

Something I’m Looking Forward To:

Back to school this coming week! The transitions to getting up early and being out and about all day are always a bit tough in the beginning, but it will be good to be in routine again. Our school is also hosting an author visit – Stephen Shaskan – this coming week. His Taco & Pizza series are so much fun and so popular with the students.

Next Saturday evening I head to a puzzle competition with some puzzle friends. We had a lot of fun last year and I think we also brought the best snacks.

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
