My Review:

In DeAnna’s Goodreads author bio, she writes: 

“Are you looking for a break from the downer side of life? Me too! That’s why I write lighthearted cozy mysteries designed to lift your spirits while balancing the scales of justice, at least within the pages of my books.”

And my answer to that, especially lately is, 100% yes! And I’m happy to report that DeAnna delivers on her promise. This is lighthearted and cozy, with some adorable humor mixed throughout. Yes, yes, readers will have to suspend their disbelief, but that’s the whole reason why I read! 

While this is book four in the series, I have no issues jumping in and I finished this in a day. (It’s just about 200 pages)

The setting of sunny Citrus Grove, California is one I’d love to escape to in real life, and I love the grandfather-granddaughter relationship. My personal favorite is Aneksi, with his magical abilities. I wish I could have a magical talking cat as a side-kick. 

Cozy and sweet with just the right amount of mystery.
