About the Book:

My Review:
This was my first introduction to the Charm City mystery series, but I’m glad I have book one loaded and ready to go on my kindle! Book two works well as a standalone, but there were references made to plot points from book one that piqued my curiosity.
There’s a lot of like here and I’ll admit I was first pulled in by the cover – I love flamingos! So I came for the cover, but stayed for a fun plot, intriguing mystery and entertaining characters.I did not have the mystery solved beforehand and enjoyed the final reveal. The will-they-won’t they between Desio and Laci added a layer of humorous tension to the story. I think that’s what I enjoyed the most about this story – it had murder and also had me chuckling to myself several times. Humor and mystery are hard to blend together and I think this story held its own!
Looking forward to more in the series and in the meantime, I’ll be reading book one!
