Weekly Reads Round Up: Favorite Read of the Week

The First State of Being by Erin Entrada Kelly

What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:

Reading: Trapped and Tested: A DeeLo Myer Cat Rescue Mystery by Sharon Marchisello (the Great Escapes Virtual Tour stops here Thursday 1/15/26)

Listening: A Grimm Warning (The Land of Stories #3) by Chris Colfer, Brandon Dorman (Illustrator)

Week in Review:

What a week news-wise. Ugh. It’s a lot. And as I type this, I’m battling flu like symptoms. However, it was lots of fun to be back to school and see all of our students. I’m very disappointed to miss my first knitting class due to these annoying germs this morning, but hopefully I can schedule a make-up session soon.

Something I’m Looking Forward To:

Feeling better, for sure. I am also looking forward to seeing lots of students in our school district’s all district musical this week. We are also going to see The Outsiders next weekend.

  1. I’m sorry you are unwell, and missed your first knitting lesson. Hopefully the symptoms won’t last long so you can enjoy your upcoming activities!

  2. Oh dear. Let’s hope you are feeling much better soon!

I’m very curious about the Land of Stories series. I have book one here, and it’s been on my shelf for a long time.

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
