☕The Sunday Salon: February 22, 2026 ♥️

Happy Sunday! Thanks to Deb Nance at Readerbuzz for hosting The Sunday Salon.

Weekly Reads Round Up: Favorite Read of the Week

Little House in the Big Woods (Little House #1) by Laura Ingalls Wilder

This was a re-read for me. My copy had an inscription from my mom “Happy Birthday, Sarah! 1988” Definitely dated in language, but I enjoyed the re-read.

What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:

Reading: The Selected Letters of Laura Ingalls Wilder by Laura Ingalls Wilder, William Anderson (Editor)

Listening: The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion: Vol. 3 by Beth Brower

Week in Review:

It was a busy week with my daughter performing in the high school’s production of Mamma Mia – it was a great show! We also had a fundraiser for the middle school and made lots more than we have ever had in the past! I also finished writing a grant for a nonprofit that I freelance for. It felt good to have that turned in and off the to-do list.

Something I’m Looking Forward To:

I’m excited for a week without late nights (those musicals are so fun, but I got to bed way too late many nights in a row). We are also attending a Rock & Roll Bingo with friends. I am also looking forward to having some time to read and work on my first knitting project – a very basic scarf.

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
