☕The Sunday Salon: April 5, 2026 🌷🐰

Happy Sunday & Happy Easter to those who celebrate! Thanks to Deb Nance at Readerbuzz for hosting The Sunday Salon.

 Favorite Read of the Week

Finlay Donovan Crosses the Line (Finlay Donovan #6) by Elle Cosimano (It is so much fun to be back with Finlay and the book ends in a way that we know there will be a next book – yes!!!)

What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:

Reading: The Spellshop (Spellshop #1) by Sarah Beth Durst

Listening: Without a Clue by Melissa Ferguson

Week in Review:

This week was rough – if it could go wrong, it did. By Tuesday it was so bad we treated ourselves to delicious ice cream. By Thursday I had thrown in the towel, heated up chicken nuggets and green beans and sat on the couch with my book. Blah. BUT Friday was school librarian appreciation day and as a part-time assistant, I didn’t think much of it. Well, those kids and teachers showered us both with so much love. It was unexpected and so heartwarming. Here are just a few of the things we got. One of my favorites is “you are good at reading.” So sweet.

Sunday afternoon we will celebrate the holiday with a casual Easter lunch. We bought two new games (Magnetic Chess and Moose Master) that we hope to try Sunday afternoon.

Something I’m Looking Forward To:

A low-key day off on Monday. We also have plans to see theater this week (senior one act plays) at my daughter’s school, and then another of her friends is in a play nearby. I’m trying to read print books I own this month so my stack looks enticing.

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
