Weekly Reads Round Up: Favorite Read of the Week

This Story Might Save Your Life by Tiffany Crum – A coworker recommended this as a page turning mystery/thriller that was a must on audio. I put a request on Libby, saw that it was an 18 week wait and didn’t think much else…until I got a skip the line copy last weekend. I quickly hit play and did everything in my power to keep my earbuds in because woooweeee the unraveling of this mystery is intense. I was giving side eye to every character, not sure who to trust. While it’s a totally different story, it gave me the similar vibes and reading experience as when I read Gone Girl. A fun buzzy summer novel.

What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:

Reading: Heroes by Alan Gratz

Listening: A Duke Never Tells by Suzanne Enoch

Week in Review:

Whew! What a whirlwind of a week! Lots of activities and fun was had at school, and finals at the high school are complete. My husband and I went to an author talk at our library with Michael Schur and Joe Posnanski on their new book Big Fan: Two Friends, 82,490 Miles, and the Wild, Wonderful Sports We Love. It was such an entertaining talk, even for this non sports fan. Last night we had my in-laws over for a cookout and today my daughter and I will attend a production of Annie.

Something I’m Looking Forward To:

Next week we have a few doctor appointments that are just so much easier to schedule in the summer. And I’m looking forward to book club next Sunday. It will be nice to ease into a summer routine. I also am looking forward to writing a few more blog posts. The end of school just took all my energy!

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
