🌴Summer Reading 2026 TBR 🌻

I love summer reading – to read during the daytime, to have no guilt about grabbing a book and staying up just a little late…it’s the best. Here are a few books I’m hoping to read this summer.

Finish the 2026-2027 Mark Twain Nominees (I have six more to read)

Read a BIG Book: Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry

Listen to a BIG Book: A Court of Thorns and Roses #3 A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

Read Classics/Way Backlist: Mrs. Tim #1-2, Mrs. Tim Christie by D.E. Stevenson (and more in this series)

Read Books I Own: Spellshop #2 The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst

Read a Galley of a Soon To Be Published Book: Golden Motel Mystery #3 All Aboard for Murder by Ellen Byron

Read a Galley I Missed From Last Summer: A Ravensea Castle Mystery #1 Bodies and Battlements by Elizabeth Penney

Read a Book for a Challenge Category: The Dry Grass of August by Anna Jean Mayhew

Read a Book with my Daughter: Limelight by Andrew Keenan-Bolger

Read a Book my Son Recommends: Operation Kinderspion #1 Max in the House of Spies: A Tale of World War II by Adam Gidwitz

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
