Weekly Reads Round Up: Favorite Read of the Week

Mrs. Tim Flies Home (Mrs. Tim #5) by D.E. Stevenson – My summer with Mrs. Tim has come to an end and I’m bereft. I read this one so slowly because I didn’t want to say goodbye, but it did have a lovely ending. I can easily picture Mrs. Tim and family going about life. If you liked Emma M Lion, this gives me a lot of the same vibes. I am so sad to say goodbye. “Humor, charm, and a superb talent for storytelling are the hallmarks of D.E. Stevenson’s work.”

What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:

Reading: Midsummer’s Mayhem by Rajani LaRocca 

Listening: The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion: Vol. 7 by Beth Brower

BIG Book Slow But Steady: The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles (page 307 of 576) 

Week in Review: 

The oldest child was in tech week this week and opening night for The Lightning Thief was Friday. It was excellent! The youngest child took an improv class this week and that culminated in a little improv performance on Friday. It was also super entertaining. 

Something I’m Looking Forward To:

We have out of town company over the weekend and spilling into next week, so we are looking forward to spending time with them. And then I know I’ll need some quiet downtime to recover from all the activity. I’m not looking forward to the next heat advisory which starts today and goes through Monday.
