A Bookish List: Series I’m So Glad I Discovered In 2023

Since I was a kid, I have loved series fiction. As an adult, I haven’t shied away, and now that I have found so many on audiobooks, I can’t seem to get enough. There’s something so comforting about returning to the lives of the same likable characters–it’s like visiting friends. I especially love the historical mysteries–they feel like a true escape into a time and place so different from my current setting!

Here’s a list of series fiction I discovered in 2023 that I just loved. Do you read series fiction? What are your favorites?

  2. I really enjoy the Maisie Dobbs series. I find those particularly comforting books. I’m all caught up now, though, so I can’t turn to the next one when I want a comfort book.

  4. […] I love this time of year when readers reflect on the reading year. I enjoyed making a list of new to me series (and some are new to the book world). It’s also fun to know that I have more to read in each of these series, so I know more great reading is coming my way!  Here’s a link to series I discovered in 2023. […]

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
