It was a great reading week and I can’t select just one, so my two very favorite reads of the week are: The River We Remember by William Kent Krueger and The Dearly Beloved by Cara Wall

What I’m Reading & Listening to Now

Reading: Molten Death (An Orchid Isle Mystery #1) by Leslie Karst

Listening: To Slip the Bonds of Earth (Katharine Wright Mystery) by Amanda Flower

Something Good

The past week felt long after such a relaxing and fun spring break. Something good from the week is that the tulips are up in a corner of my backyard that I can see from the kitchen window and the family room recliner. Seeing them reminds me to pause and just enjoy. 

Something I’m Looking Forward To

I’m looking forward to several things this week–book club on Monday night, voting for the candidates I support during our local elections on Tuesday, volunteering at an event to support our middle school, as well as a spring orchestra concert this coming weekend.

    My reading has been prempted by Netflix and the Korean, Chinese, and Japanese dramas it has there. Some are quite good, with plots as complex and characters as intriguing as books I’ve read. And it’s easier for me to watch than to read these days….

    I haven’t seen any tulips, yet. I may have to visit the Missouri Botanical Garden to get a good dose of spring. I’m looking forward to voting in our election, too!
