Book Blogger Hop – If you could live in any book, which one would you pick and why?

Question:  If you could live in any book, which one would you pick and why? (submitted by Billy Coffee Addicted Writer)

Answer:

I love this question! I think about books I want to live in all the time as I’m reading. Wouldn’t it be so fun to be like Tilly in Pages & Co.: The Bookwanderers by Anna James and actually bookwander into stories (minus the evil characters)? I would love that.

Since Spring is in the air, I’d like to live in the Garden Squad Mysteries by Julia Henry (understand her pen names by reading more on her web site).

Sixty-five-year-old Lilly Jayne lives in a beautiful (large!) house and always seems to have room for extra guests, so I’m assuming she wouldn’t mind my company. While I don’t have a green-thumb like she does, I am great at following instructions so she could put me to work. I also love organization and research (it’s the librarian in me) so I feel like I’d be an asset to any sleuthing she has to do. I simply love Lilly as a character – she’s thoughtful and kind and while maybe she comes across as a bit set in her ways, she really isn’t. She’d make a great friend.

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings or a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
