The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter
The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter (12 Books of Christmas Book1) – I absolutely adored this locked room, enemies to lovers rom-com.
Meet Maggie Chase and Ethan Wyatt. She’s the new Queen of the Cozy Mystery. He’s Mr. Big-time Thriller Guy.She hates his guts.He thinks her name is Marcie (no matter how many times she’s told him otherwise.) But when they both accept a cryptic invitation to attend a Christmas house party at the English estate of a reclusive fan, neither is expecting their host to be the most powerful author in the world: Eleanor Ashley, the Duchess of Death herself. That night, the weather turns, and the next morning Eleanor is gone.
This is just what I needed in my ears to remind me that this season can be fun. It’s a wonderful escape and I rooted for both main characters so much. I swooned and laughed and just loved every page so much.
What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:

Reading: Murder at Glenloch Hill (Stella and Lyndy Mystery #6) by Clara McKenna (look for my review on release day, this coming Tuesday November 26th!)
Listening: Ghost at Work (Bailey Ruth #1) by Carolyn G. Hart
Week in Review:
The unrelenting germs of the season took me out on Monday with the most annoying upper respiratory virus. Thankfully a trip to the doctor resulted in cough meds that actually worked so I am ending the week in a much better way than I started. Thankfully I had a wonderful canine companion on Monday:

All musical performances were delightful this week, and my husband and I got to have lunch out just the two of us on Thursday. I worked an extra day this week to cover for a coworker and attended a local craft fair Saturday morning.
Something I’m Looking Forward To:
I am so excited for Thanksgiving break. Five whole days! A family member is hosting so my cooking responsibilities are much less than past years. I can’t wait to get some rest and reading time in. We all need it!
