Happy Sunday! Thanks to Deb Nance at Readerbuzz for hosting The Sunday Salon.

Weekly Reads Round Up: Favorite Read of the Week

Frosted Frappe Felony (Killer Coffee #19) by Tonya Kappes

What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:

Reading: The Pumpkin Princess and the Forever Night (The Pumpkin Princess #1) by Steven Banbury

Listening: A Tour to Die For (The Serial Killer Guide to San Francisco #2) by Michelle Chouinard

I post reviews on Instagram and Goodreads. What have you read this week?

Week in Review:

What a week! Two snow days, actually falling at the perfect time so that I could shovel my way out and be with my mom. She has a long road to recovery ahead of her.

I was happy to be back at school on Wednesday, even though it was just for two days as we were off for teacher workshops on Friday. Even though we ran to a variety of appointments, I was glad to be with my kids. I also picked up new glasses this week and the change in frames is a lot of fun.

Something I’m Looking Forward To:

Tonight my daughter and I are going to see her friend in a teen production of Hadestown and then tomorrow night I have book club. While it’s unusual that I haven’t read the book, it’s been a week and I’m going to be with my friends.

I’m continuing to practice my knitting which I so enjoy, and I’m pulling out a cross stitch project. Both activities require me to focus so much, it slows my racing mind!

  1. My district was closed the entire week, so it’s going to be interesting when we finally get back on Monday. Lots to make up! I’m definitely glad to be going back, even though I enjoyed the extra sleep and got a lot of reading done. Hope your mom is doing better. It’s always hard.

  4. My grandkids here in East Texas were out for most of the week with snow and ice. I’m glad you were able to get to your mom.

A Tour to Die For sounds like fun.

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
