My Review:

I so enjoyed this small town cozy mystery, and it’s always great to start reading at the beginning of a new series. The writing is vivid and brings the small southern town to life using such descriptive language. I felt as though I was truly there, inside the pages of the book.

I also loved the team of sleuths featured. I love it when a group full of different kinds of people comes together because they all have a similar interest, and then they have the chance to become something even more than a bookclub. Librarian Janelle might be my favorite but you could say I’m biased! I certainly understood her love of the library and the peace she finds there.

The mystery was strong  – the small town secrets and history added an undercurrent of tension in a town that seems peaceful on the outside.

This was a fun escape, and I look forward to reading more.
