☕The Sunday Salon: October 25, 2026 🎃

Happy Sunday! Thanks to Deb Nance at Readerbuzz for hosting The Sunday Salon.

Weekly Reads Round Up: Favorite Read of the Week

Miss Wolcott’s Ghost (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache #21) by Louise Penny – A cryptic middle of the night phone call opens “Miss Wolcott’s Ghost,” the 21st entry into the “Chief Inspector Armand Gamache” mystery series by Louise Penny, and the story takes off from there. My full review will be posted at KRL soon but thankfully Penny continues to deliver classic mysteries that I know will stand the test of time. This was especially good on audio!

What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:

Reading: Receipts from the Bookshop: A Bookseller’s Year in an English Seaside Town by Katie Clapham

Listening: The Bellwoods Game by Celia Krampien

Week in Review:

A regular work week with a few after school activities for both kids as well as an evening meeting for me. Today we ran errands and did a few chores and then my son had friends over. Tonight is our family movie night and we are ordering dinner which I am so excited about.

Something I’m Looking Forward To:

Sunday night is book club and it’s my turn to host! We have a busy five day week this week and then it is Halloween! And we are off school the 2nd and 3rd of Nov and we are all looking forward to a break.

About Me

Welcome! I started my career as a children’s librarian, later becoming a public library director and now I’m a stay at home mom. While my career might have changed, my love of reading has been a constant since I was in 4th grade, and I read over 200 books a year. I love talking about books and connecting readers of all ages with just the right book. Thanks for reading!
