My Life Outside of Books:
The weather has been beautiful this past week and the bright blue skies and fall colors really lift the spirits.
I worked on my #NaNoWriMo project more this week. I decided to outline the rest because I was worried I would forget the ideas I had floating in my head. I’m looking forward to getting back into writing this week.
This week is busy with a capital B. In addition to regular life, there are parent teacher conferences, my daughter’s play, and my son and I are taking our yellow belt Taekwondo test. Lots of driving and doing. Looking forward to a quieter week of Thanksgiving.
Reading Challenge Updates:
I wrote a post about my 2023 reading challenges and book journal! Do you like reading challenges? How do you track your reads?
3 Good Things:
- Our oven’s “mother-board” went kaput and the part has finally come in, but the soonest they could get a technician out was the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. I was frantically making a plan b in my mind when they called back to say they had a cancellation for this Tuesday. Yes!
- I took my daughter to see her friends in a local production of Frozen and it was a delightful evening! It was one of those nights where we had so many things before the production, that we ended up grabbing Starbucks and eating lunchables in the car for dinner. It was such a fun time to catch up. And the musical was SO good. It was worth staying up late for that one.
- I’m so thankful for my neighbor friends. My daughter will be in a local production of Singin’ in the Rain this coming week and we needed to practice fixing her hair. As a short-haired person, I was so out of my element. I texted a neighbor friend who immediately responded, “I’m coming.” An hour later I had a page of notes, products for pick up at Target, how to videos and a sense of calm.
Wishing everyone a happy week filled with good bookish vibes!
