I got pulled in other directions over the weekend and the last two days so I thought I’d write one big catch up post, with snippets from a Sunday Salon, a Top Ten Tuesday and Can’t Wait Wednesday. We do what we can do, right?

Weekly Reads Round Up: Sunday February 25, 2024 – Saturday March 2, 2024
I post reviews on Instagram and Goodreads. What have you read this week?
The Snow Job by Dianne Ascroft (I read an eARC from the author for a book blog tour.)
Pages & Co. #5 The Treehouse Library (I listened to this middle-grade gem using my library’s Libby app.)
Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross (I read a copy from my library. Such great YA “romantasy.”)
When I Was Your Age: Life Lessons, Funny Stories & Questionable Parenting Advice from a Professional Clown by Kenan Thompson (I listened to a copy using my library’s Libby app. He is just so funny.)
Double Scoop of Murder (Coffee & Cream Café Mysteries Book 3) by Lena Gregory (I read an eARC from the author for a book blog tour. You will want ice-cream as you read this, FYI!)
Fatal First Edition (Library Lover’s Mystery Book 14) by Jenn McKinlay (I read a copy from my library. I love this series.)
Life & Other News from Last Week:
My son and I earned our green belts in taekwondo last week. It was a hard test but we did it! We were talking that we are happy to be at the point where we can recognize that while something is hard when it is first introduced, we have the confidence that we know we will eventually get it. It’s fun to actually experience the idea of “the power of yet.” Allergies have kicked into high gear over there and we are trying all the meds and ideas to bring relief. The wildly fluctuating weather doesn’t seem to be helping anything either.
Top Ten(ish) Tuesday:

Weird or Funny Things I’ve Googled Thanks to a Book (Submitted by Astilbe @ Long and Short Reviews)
I love this topic. I go through phases of googling when reading but I am usually googling foods mentioned (I recently looked up seed cake) and housing styles because I can never remember what “Queen Anne” means when it comes to a house. I have also googled places to see if they are real and maps. If it’s a road trip story, I like to look up the places along the way and the routes.
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Can’t Wait Wednesday:

Here’s my Can’t-Wait Wednesday Selection #7 A Body at the Dance Hall: (London Ladies’ Murder Club Book 3) by Marty Wingate

Publishes: April 8, 2024 by Bookouture
Length: 312 pages
Genre: Historical Mystery

Why I’m Excited
I absolutely adored books one and two in this series that I was lucky to review for King’s River Life News & Review (check out my review here). I can’t wait to get back into 1920’s London with Mabel.
From the Publisher
1922. Amateur sleuth Mabel Canning is surrounded by the bright lights of London as she chaperones a young American woman to a dance. But when someone is murdered, a deadly tango begins…Meet plucky woman-about-town Mabel Canning, leader of the London Ladies’ Murder Club and trusted assistant to gentlewomen. When she is tasked with accompanying Roxy, a fun-loving heiress, on a glamorous night out, Mabel can’t wait to sip champagne and practice the foxtrot. But just as Roxy sashays out of sight, a mysterious man warns Mabel that the feisty young redhead is in danger. And someone is dead before the music stops…
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine.
