Happy Sunday! Deb Nance at Readerbuzz hosts The Sunday Salon, and I’m joining in!
Weekly Reads Round Up: Sunday March 3, 2024 – Saturday March 9, 2024
I post reviews on Instagram and Goodreads. What have you read this week?
- DM Me For Murder A Trending Topic Mystery by Sarah E. Burr (I read an eARC for a future review to be posted on Kings River Life.)
- A Fragile Enchantment by Allison Saft (I listened to a copy using my library’s Libby App.)
- Murder in the Tea Leaves (Book 27 in the Tea Shop Mysteries) by Laura Childs (I read an eARC for a book blog tour linked below.)
- The Wilderness Trap (Book Five in the Southwest Exposure Mysteries) by Jodi Linton (I read an eARC for a book blog tour that will post tomorrow.)
- The Ladies Rewrite the Rules by Suzanne Allain (I listened to a copy of using my library’s Libby App. This was so much fun.)
- Writing & Selling Your Mystery Novel by Hallie Ephron (I read a copy from my library. Judging by the post-its I have stuck throughout, I would say this was a helpful read!)
- The Underground Library by Jennifer Ryan (I read an eARC from Netgalley and absolutely adored this WWII story. Five stars.)
What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:
Reading: Lady Codebreaker by K.D. Alden
Listening: Come Fly The World: The Jet-Age Story of the Women of Pan Am by Julia Cooke
Life:
What a long week! It was a week with what I call boomerang tasks–tasks you think you’ve finished and cross off your list, only to find them flinging themselves back at you! We did have an amazing crockpot minestrone soup this week. It makes the house smell so good and we had lots of leftovers. It’s those little things that bring cheer to the week.
3 Good Things:
One: I got to read to four classes at our elementary school for a “from stories to service” project our district is organizing. I absolutely love reading aloud to kids. I read The Girl with Big, Big Questions by Britney Winn Lee, illustrated by Jacob Souva. Such thoughtful kids!
Two: I took my daughter and a friend to see another friend in a local production of High School Musical Jr and it was great fun.
Three: The sunshine both yesterday and today has felt so welcome.
