I post reviews on Instagram and Goodreads. What have you read this week?

Murder at the Dressmaker’s Salon (Cleopatra Fox #4) by C.J. Archer
About the Book:
As fashion designer to London’s elite, she had an eye for detail and a flare for the dramatic. But there’s nothing stylish about her cold-blooded murder.
With the social season just around the corner, the women in Cleo’s family are having new outfits made by the most sought-after designer in the city. Madame Poitiers is bold, self-absorbed and not French, despite her claims.
When Cleo stumbles on her dead body in the salon, she is in a unique position to gather clues and speak to witnesses. But she doesn’t expect to find Harry Armitage’s business card in Madame’s possession. What is the alluring private detective’s connection to the victim? And why is he avoiding Cleo?
As she peeks behind the veil of lies, Cleo uncovers the secrets Madame Poitiers tried to hide. But which secret led to her murder? And which one of the suspects turned the fashion icon into a fashion victim?
My Review:
I am loving this historical mystery series (perfect for those looking for something similar to the Veronica Speedwell series). I listened to book four, just as I have the others and it is a true listening treat! Part of me just wants to binge the whole series, while another part of me wants to balance the series with all the other wonderful books on my TBR. The life and deliminas of a reader.
Cleo is a wonderful sleuth, unafraid to deny convention in the search for justice. And there’s a moment with Harry that had my heart aflutter. Will there be more moments in future books?
What I’m Reading & Listening to Now:

Reading: Sugar and Sliced (Maple Lane #0.5) by C.A. Phipps
Listening: Christmas with the Queen by Hazel Gaynor, Heather Webb
Week in Review:
We are heading to winter break! Yay! This week was busy as well with hair cuts, a zoom meeting, taekwondo, a field trip, a Christmas party and regular work and school! We did see Wicked today and absolutely loved it. I don’t feel very organized or together this season, but I’ve adopted the refrain “I’m doing the best I can!”

Something I’m Looking Forward To:
Winter break! We only have two appointments over the two week break, and I’m ready to read and nap and look at pretty Christmas lights.
